In a baby’s first year, every month brings changes. During well-baby visits, our pediatricians will check for proper growth and development and answer your questions about eating, sleeping, and vaccinations.

When Should My Baby First See a Pediatrician?
The first visit is typically 2-3 days after bringing the baby home from the hospital unless otherwise directed by your pediatrician. Then follow up visits as needed until the baby reaches birth weight.

I have loved Comfort Care Pediatrics. Cynthia Carmack is very responsive to my questions and can be as high-intervention or low-intervention as you’d like for your kids. I particularly like how she’ll ask really comprehensive questions about how they’re eating, sleeping, and their behavior. She doesn’t just look at the issue in front of her but likes to get to know quite a bit about your kid so she can get a good grip on his or her health.
Funnily enough, my husband took the kids last week and there was a mix-up with the scheduling. That’s the only time that’s ever happened to us and he left a bad review (everyone has a right to their opinion, right? Especially in a marriage :). I’ve only had Dr. Fox once but really liked her and thought she was competent.

My 2 kids are patients of Dr. Carmack. My kids have only been to two other docters throughout their lives. I started looking for a new docter, when their original pediatrician moved out of state. The last docter we went to see was alright, but did not make us feel as comfortable as their original docter did, which is very important to me. Then, we found Dr. Carmack. She is very welcoming and sweet. She is knowledgeable and thorough when explaining things. She is also has great patience with us. I have social anxiety and a crazy toddler who rarely sits still, she has never made me feel bad about it. I feel extremely comfortable when working with her and her nurse staff. The front desk women have always treated me with kindness and respect. The office is bright, clean and kid-friendly. I am so happy to have found Comfort Care Pediatrics, and specifically, Dr. Carmack. I plan on keeping my children as patients here for all their pediatric care.
