Dr. Rita K. Fox
Dr. Cynthia Carmack
Dr. Sara E. H. Johnson

Dr. Rita K. Fox grew up in Eden Prairie, a small suburb of Minneapolis. She completed her undergraduate education at Bethel College in St. Paul and her Medical School and pediatric residency training at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. Fox moved to Salt Lake City in 1992 and has been in private practice at Salt Lake Pediacenter since 1996.

Dr. Fox thoroughly enjoys Utah with the beautiful mountains and four seasons. Her hobbies include watching sporting events, in particular her children’s basketball and soccer games. She also enjoys hiking and biking with her family, and visiting Utah’s outstanding National and State Parks.

Dr. Cindy Carmack recently moved to Salt Lake City after working as a general Pediatrician in Indiana for 9 years. She grew up in central Indiana, received a BS in Biochemistry with a minor in Sociology from Indiana University in 1997, and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2001. From there she moved to Orlando, Florida where she completed her internship and residency in General Pediatrics at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children.

A focus on a healthy lifestyle is a primary focus both personally and professionally for Dr. Carmack. She enjoys working with children from birth to 21 years old and their families to attain optimum physical, mental and emotional health through preventative care.

While not in the office, Dr. Carmack, her husband and 2 children enjoy all that Utah has to offer from, skiing, hiking, trail running, and cycling to touring the local farmer's markets. She is also an avid swimmer and swam competitively in High School.

Dr. Sara E. H. Johnson grew up in Duluth Minnesota on the shore of Lake Superior. She completed her undergraduate education in Psychology and Spanish at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks ND. After college she enjoyed a short career in social work, working with both adults with developmental delay and traumatic brain injury. In 1994 she moved to Salt Lake City with her husband and in 1997 started her next phase of education, completing medical school, a Masterís of Public Health and Pediatric Residency at the University of Utah. Dr. Johnson is a board certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Johnson worked in a shared/solo practice downtown Salt Lake for the first nine years after residency, then relocated to Comfort Care Pediatrics in the fall of 2014 to enjoy a larger group practice setting. She is happily taking new patients from birth to late adolescence with a particular interest in wellness and preventative health.

When not working, Dr. Johnson enjoys free time with her husband and two children, running the trails of the foothills, skiing in the mountains, yoga, travel and friends. While always missing the lake life of Minnesota, she has embraced all the beauty of the Wasatch mountains and fun that Utah has to offer.
